Meet our Partners

We are because of them: Our partners are living relationships, evolving progressively in their possibilities for collaboration. By working together, we are able to delve deeper into community service.

The Plot Market Garden and Iyé are jointly raising funds to support small-scale farmers located in W̱SÁNEĆ territory, combat food insecurity, climate change, and improve the right to food within equity-deserving and vulnerable groups.

Brought to you by the Esquimalt Farmers’ Market (EFM) and Iyé, the Marketbucks initiative is a farm-fresh program aiming to support our communities. This program is based on reciprocity in order to bring justice at the forefront and lay foundations to re-envision the participation of communities in certain spaces, in this case, the Farmers’ Market.

70% of the produce for the Palenke Produce Boxes are sourced from the South Island Farm Hub, to continue supporting local farmers and reduce the gap between consumers and producers.

Through the Gift of Good Food Fundraiser, the Good Food Box is working with us to support community by generously providing 10 families with a Good Food Box for an entire year.

With this strategic partner we undertake engagement activities, research and policy development related to local food systems where we support the identification of emerging issues and priorities in our communities in order and redirect the work of the organization.

We work together in different projects that are supported with our Vision, Mission and Values.

The VCFHS supports our efforts as a grassroot collective by administering the funds we receive from different funders to maintain our operations and resources up to date.
